Story:
This tomato has been listed in the SSE Yearbooks since 1997, but not many members have relisted it. It was first listed by Bill Minkey who describes it as bell shaped, almost heart shaped, large red fruits. Original seeds are from Roberta Helpman, Ontario, Canada, who received it from an acquaintance who got it from travelling in Israel.
Since there are very few tomato varieties known to be heirloom from Israel, it is possible that people who left Europe to settle in Israel could have taken this heirloom with them but no more details are known.
